Women of Authority (WOA), founded by Dr. Prophetess Faith, is a biannual event dedicated to empowering women from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who have faced abuse and despair. The initiative, under the theme #Ukalimo, focuses on unlocking women's potential through prayer, faith, mentorship, and empowerment, with a strong emphasis on economic development. This is achieved through collaborations with partners providing resources like food, financial aid, and business training.
WOA's inclusive conferences held quarterly, unite women across various demographics to explore kingdom possibilities and personal growth through the Word of God. These gatherings have historically featured free conference days and business summits, facilitating networking and mentorship from global industry experts. The last meeting in December 2023 attracted over 700 women, featuring speakers from Zambia and the USA, business funding, and teachings of the Word of God.
The April 2024 event marks a significant expansion of WOA's reach, targeting women in chiefdoms across Zambia to bridge the gap in rural outreach. This initiative, inspired by Prophetess Faith's upbringing, will involve local chiefs and high-level government officials, focusing on cultural celebration, empowerment, and the development of projects for young girls and women, including support for those in abusive marriages. The event will be a two-day affair, with the first day being a free cultural showcase attended by Kings, Chiefs, and partners, and the second day a business summit for fundraising and project development. This event aims to advance empowerment and economic development at the grassroots level in Zambia, demonstrating WOA's commitment to empowerment, prayer, and collaboration.
